Staining Kit: LADEWIG’s Staining
The kit consists of several components, including Weigert stock solution A and B, which are used to prepare a hematoxylin solution that stains cell nuclei blue. Furthermore, it contains a 5% phosphotungstic acid and the Ladewig solution. The Ladewig solution consists of the dyes aniline blue w.s., methyl orange and acid fuchsin.
By using the LADEWIG staining kit, different tissue structures and substances can be stained differently and thus easily distinguished: Fibrin appears bright red, collagenous and reticular connective tissue is shown in blue-violet. Parenchyma, musculature and nervous tissue are stained gray-blue to brown-red, mucosal substances appear blue, amyloid light blue and erythrocytes light red-orange.
The LADEWIG staining kit allows detailed examination of tissue structures and can be used to assess tissue changes that may be associated with various diseases.

Instructions / Protocol / Recommendations
Verwendung:
The LADEWIG staining kit is an in vitro diagnostic kit for histology that allows differentiated visualization of tissue structures. It is used to stain tissue specimens to visualize nuclei, fibrin, collagenous and reticular connective tissue, parenchyma, musculature, nervous tissue, mucosal substances, amyloid and erythrocytes in different colors. This allows tissue changes associated with various diseases to be assessed and analyzed.
Prinzip:
The functional principle of LADEWIG staining is based on the combination of different solutions that specifically bind to tissue or cell structures. Weigert stock solutions A and B enable the staining of cell nuclei due to their affinity for DNA. Phosphotungstic acid 5 % accentuates the staining and enhances contrast. Ladewig solution stains the cytoplasm and extracellular matrix components. Together, these solutions enable detailed visualization of tissue or cell structures in in vitro diagnostics, allowing better visualization and differentiation of cell types, organelles and interactions between cells.
