Instructions / Protocol / Recommendations
Verwendung:
Mucicarmine stock solution (original according to Mayer) is used in in vitro diagnostics for histological staining of mucopolysaccharides and mucins in tissue sections. It allows improved visibility of these structures especially in the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract and glands. It is thus used for more detailed examination and analysis of physical structures in medical and biological contexts. Its main component is carmine, a red dye obtained from cochineal lice.
Prinzip:
The mucicarmine stock solution according to Mayer is used in in vitro diagnostics. Its application is to stain specific tissue or cell structures by a binding reaction. In this process, the anhydrous aluminum chloride particles absorb water from the environment and react with the carmine to form a solid compound. The carmine imparts an intense red color to the cells, enabling their visual identification. Ethanol promotes diffusion of the staining agents into the tissue and prevents clumping of the cells, while distilled water stabilizes the pH.
