Methylene blue for Araldite sections is a single solution used in medical diagnostics, histology and scientific laboratories. The solution consists of glycerol anhydrous (C3H8O3), methanol (CH3OH), distilled aqua. / deionized water (H2O), phosphate buffer pH 6.9, methylene blue (C16H18ClN3S) and azure II (C15H16N3SCl). It is a component of staining kits such as the Araldite Staining by ADAMS Kit.

The use of this solution is particularly suitable for staining Araldite-embedded tissue sections. Here, methylene blue and azure II interact with various cellular structures, allowing differential staining.
