Lithium Carbonate 0.05 %

Lithium carbonate (0.05%) can be used in histology as a differentiation solution when staining tissue sections with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E).
After hematoxylin staining, the tissue is treated with the lithium carbonate solution to remove excess hematoxylin and to provide a sharp contrast staining between the cell nuclei and the surrounding tissue through the bluing reaction. This differentiation with lithium carbonate improves the clarity and quality of microscopic images and allows precise analysis of tissue structure and morphology.

Instructions / Protocol / Recommendations

Verwendung:

Lithium carbonate 0.05% solution is used in in vitro diagnostics in histology as a differentiation solution in hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining of tissue sections. It allows removal of excess hematoxylin and produces sharp contrast staining through the bluing reaction, resulting in improved clarity and quality of microscopic images. This allows precise analysis of tissue structures and morphology.

Prinzip:

Lithium carbonate 0.05% is a solution used for application in in vitro diagnostics. The principle of operation is based on the binding of the lithium ion (Li+) to tissue or cellular structures. The lithium ion interacts with various cellular components, such as enzymes, proteins and ion channels, potentially resulting in modulation of cellular processes. The use of lithium carbonate in in vitro diagnostics makes it possible to obtain information about cellular functions and possible disturbances of these processes, which are important for the diagnosis and understanding of diseases or disorders.
