Kit: Silver amplifier for BODIAN silver plating
The silver ions from the silver nitrate react with the protein fibers, while the stock solution B acts as an enhancing medium that promotes silver deposition. This process results in improved contrast and detail, facilitating analysis and providing accurate results.

Instructions / Protocol / Recommendations
Verwendung:
Silver stains are used in histology to detect fungi, bacteria, nerve fibers, and basement membranes. The silver intensifier is used in combination with other components (see procedure) in silver staining according to BODIAN. The staining solution is intended exclusively for professional use as an in vitro diagnostic agent in histological or cytological laboratories.
Prinzip:
Silver nitrate is a salt of nitric acid. The use of silver nitrate for the production of lattice fibers has been known since 1904 and has developed into the most important method for the production of argyrophilic fibers. The basis of the impregnation is the reduction of silver nitrate to pure silver, which precipitates on the fiber. Many methods involve subsequent toning with gold chloride (item number: 11134). In this process, metallic silver is converted to silver chloride and pure gold precipitates.
