Calibration Solution pH 4.0
The pH 4.0 calibration solution is a critical laboratory chemical used mainly in the calibration of pH measuring instruments. It is based on a mixture of disodium hydrogen phosphate and citric acid. Using this solution enables accurate and reproducible measurement of pH, providing a reliable starting point for further experiments and analysis.
During the calibration process, the electrode potential of the pH meter is fixed by the calibration solution with known pH value - in this case 4.0. This process corrects any deviations of the meter, which is an indispensable condition for accurate measurements.
Calibration using the pH 4.0 solution thus enables accurate measurement of acid and base concentrations in various solutions and materials. It thus contributes to accurate and reliable results in a wide range of scientific and industrial applications, for example in food technology, medicine, environmental technology and the chemical industry.
