The GOMORI trichrome solution with light green is a variant of the GOMORI trichrome stain in which the aniline blue is replaced by light green yellowish (C.I.: 42095). The use of light green yellowish instead of aniline blue results in a slightly different coloration of the stained structures and may allow better contrasting and differentiation of tissue structures in certain cases.

The GOMORI trichrome solution with light green is also suitable for visualizing collagenous fibers, but they are displayed in a slightly different hue (green instead of blue). This may allow better visual differentiation of collagenous fibers from other tissue structures in some cases.

The remaining steps and components of the staining method remain unchanged, so the use of Weigert hematoxylin solution for staining cell nuclei and the differentiation solution for differentiating collagen fibers and muscle fibers are retained. The GOMORI trichrome solution with light green thus offers an alternative option for visualizing tissue structures, depending on the individual preferences and requirements of the user.
