CARREZ Solution II
CARREZ Solution II is an important laboratory reagent in in vitro diagnostics, often used in combination with CARREZ Solution I. Together they form the so-called Carrez system, which is used for clarification and pretreatment of samples prior to photometric determination of substances in various biological fluids. By using CARREZ solution II, which mainly consists of Aqua bidest and zinc sulfate heptahydrate, the proteins and other macromolecules are precipitated to facilitate sample processing and minimize interfering interference effects during analysis.
CARREZ solution II is used in in vitro diagnostics for the clarification of biological samples. The working principle is based on the ability of zinc sulfate heptahydrate to precipitate proteins and polysaccharides. By complexing the polyanions in the tissue or cell structure, CARREZ II forms insoluble salts that settle and can be removed from the sample. This reduces impurities and interfering effects in the sample, leading to more precise and reliable results in the analysis of biomolecular tests and diagnostic procedures.
