Thiazin Red 1 %, aqueous

Thiazine Red 1% solution consists of an aqueous base in which Thiazine Red R (C.I. 14780) is dissolved.

Application areas of this solution are mainly in histology and cytology, especially in the staining of cell nuclei and cell structures in tissue and cell preparations. Furthermore, thiazine red is used in the examination of blood smears and microbiological preparations to visualize and differentiate various cell types.

The chemical mode of operation of thiazine red is based on its ability to form electrostatic interactions with the negatively charged groups of proteins and nucleic acids. In this process, the dye molecule binds to the target structures, resulting in an intense red coloration that is clearly visible under the microscope.

The special suitability of Thiazine Red 1% solution lies in its high affinity and selectivity for the target structures, making it an ideal tool for visualization and analysis of cell structures in histological and cytological studies. The solution provides clear and well-distinguishable staining, which contributes to the identification and characterization of different cell types.
