TECHNOVIT® 9100 De-plast Solution (MEA)

TECHNOVIT® 9100 Deplasticizing Solution (MEA) is a special product based on methoxyethyl acetate. It was developed to enable the deplasticization of tissue samples infiltrated with the Technovit® 9100 system and embedded in polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).

Methoxyethyl acetate is an effective solvent for PMMA and allows complete removal of the plastic material from the tissue samples. This is a critical step, especially when preparing the embedded tissue for specialized techniques such as immunohistochemistry or electron microscopy.

Deplasticization is a carefully controlled process in which tissue structure and morphology are preserved during the removal of the plastic. It is important that this process is performed by qualified personnel to ensure both proper handling of tissue samples and compliance with safety guidelines.

The TECHNOVIT® 9100 Deplasticization Solution (MEA) is thus an indispensable component of the Technovit® 9100 system, enabling researchers to effectively deplasticize tissue samples for subsequent analyses.
