TBE buffer 0.5X
TBE buffer 0.5X is an aqueous solution of tris-boric acid and EDTA used for electrophoretic separation of nucleic acids such as DNA and RNA and for gel electrophoresis. TBE buffer is also useful in the preparation of polyacrylamide gels for the analysis of proteins.
In histology and cytology, TBE buffer 0.5X is used to stabilize cell samples prepared for DNA analysis. It can also be used for gel electrophoresis of cellular components and proteins.
