SAFELINE Staining Solution MK is a central element of the MK staining kit and is primarily used in botanical histology. It consists of a finely tuned mixture of Aqua bidest, hydrochloric acid, denatured ethanol, benzalkonium chloride and anthocyanin. The chemical interaction of these components enables efficient staining of botanical specimens. In particular, anthocyanin, a natural pigment extracted from blueberries, is responsible for the coloration. The application of this solution can lead to more detailed and contrasty microscope images by highlighting specific cell structures.
