May-Grünwald eosin methylene blue, known for its role in histological and hematological examination, is widely used in clinical and scientific laboratories. Due to its azure (basophilic) and eosin red (azidophilic) components, this dye allows visualization and differentiation of various cell structures. Nucleic acids in the nuclei and in the ribosomes of the cytoplasm react to the azure components, while the eosin red components stain the proteins in the cytoplasm.

In addition to its role as a staining agent, May-Grünwald eosin methylene blue also acts as a fixative and degreasing agent that prepares the cell smear for subsequent staining with Giemsa solution to intensify and enhance the differentiated staining of the cells.

The product application provides significant results in the morphological evaluation and differentiation of white blood cells (leukocytes), which is of great benefit in the diagnosis of blood diseases such as leukemia. It is also used in cytology for the identification and classification of cells in body fluids.
