Staining Kit: MOLLIER’s Fourfold-Staining
The kit consists of the following components:
1. Orcein solution, alcoholic (according to SHIKATA), Item No.:12480: Orcein is used to stain elastic fibers in tissues.
2. Weigert stock solution A, Item No.:10225A and Weigert stock solution B, Item No..:10225B: These two solutions are combined to make Weigert's hematoxylin, which is used to stain cell nuclei.
3. Hydrochloric Acid Alcohol 1%, Item No.:10372: This solution is used to differentiate the color of cell nuclei and other structures.
4. Azocarmine, Item No.:10147: Azocarmine is an acidic dye used to stain muscle fibers and other cytoplasmic structures.
5. Phosphotungstic Acid 5%, Item No.:10324: This solution is used as a mordant to facilitate the binding of dyes to specific cellular structures.
6. Naphtol Green, Aqueous, Item No.:12483: Naphtol Green is an acidic dye used to stain collagen fibers and other extracellular matrix components.
The combination of these dyes and reagents allows a detailed and differentiated view of cellular and tissue structures, which is essential for accurate diagnosis of a variety of diseases and conditions.
Result: elastic fibers (black) with differentiation of collagen fibers (green), epithelial cells (red), skeletal muscle (red) and smooth muscle (pink).

Instructions / Protocol / Recommendations
Verwendung:
The MOLLIER quadruple staining kit is a set of specialized dyes and solutions used in in vitro diagnostics to provide differential visualization of tissue and cellular structures. By combining Orcein, Weigert's Hematoxylin, Azocarmine, Naphtol Green and other reagents, elastic fibers, collagen fibers, epithelial cells, skeletal muscle and smooth muscle are visualized in different colors. This detailed and differentiated view facilitates accurate diagnosis of a variety of diseases and conditions.
Prinzip:
The functional principle of the MOLLIER quadruple staining kit is based on the selective binding of the various dye components to specific tissue or cell structures. The staining allows differentiated visualization and identification of structures in in vitro diagnostics. Orcein solution binds to elastic fibers, Weigert stock solutions A and B stain nuclear structures, hydrochloric acid alcohol is used to remove excess orcein, azocarmine binds to cytoplasm, phosphotungstic acid serves as a mordant, and naphthol green stains collagen fibers. The combination of these dyes enables detailed morphological analysis of various cell and tissue types.
