Instructions / Protocol / Recommendations
Verwendung:
The Safranin-Gentianaviolet-Light Green staining kit according to GEIDIES is an important tool for in vitro diagnostics of plant tissue samples. It allows a clear visualization of structures such as plasma, chromatin, spindle fibers, cellulose and lignified cell walls in different colors. The combination of safranin, gentian violet, light green, clove oil and terpineol ensures precise and meaningful staining of botanical samples, especially for visualization of nuclear division stages.
Prinzip:
The Geidies staining kit consists of saffranin, gentian violet, light green, clove oil and terpineol. It is used for histological staining of tissue and cell structures in in vitro diagnostics. Safranin binds to acidic cellular components and stains them red, gentian violet binds to basic structures and stains them purple, while light green attaches to neutral components and stains them green. Clove oil and terpineol serve as solvents and fragrances. By combining these dyes, different cell and tissue components can be made visible and distinguished.
