EDTA solution 1.107 %
EDTA solution 1.107 % is defined by a combination of Aqua bidest, EDTA disodium salt dihydrate and sodium chloride. Namely, EDTÀ disodium salt dihydrate (C10H14N2Na208-2H20) represents a complexing agent that binds metal ions. The solution, supplemented with sodium chloride (NaCI), exhibits improved conductivity and ionic stability. The property of EDTA to bind metal ions is needed in a variety of applications. In particular, this affinity is used in chemical analyses to determine the metal ion concentration or to bind metal ions during a reaction. Similarly, in histology, it enables the removal of metal ions from tissues or the blocking of such ions during chemical processes and reactions. In its application, it must be taken into account that reaction conditions, especially pH, have significant influence on complex formation with metal ions. Major
